| Some info from Air-Zenith regarding their newest compressor.
"Air-Zenith OB2 is a completely new design from the ground up.
The valves have been redesigned into a totally different design so they are no longer mounted on the piston, this will prevent the valve from ever snapping off and if in the odd case one ever does break it has nowhere to go so it will not fall into the compression chamber and damage the piston ring wall or go out the output and damage your valves or check valve.
The piston has been beefed the hell up so it will never bend break or get damaged.
The bearing mounting system and design has been changed to prevent the problems from the past of a slipped bearing race.
The air is no longer brought into the crankcase so the piston and bearings will never see dirt grit air or moisture, it is completely sealed for the absolute longest life possible for the rotating assembly.
The new air input design also prevents the motor from being under vacuum this also keep dirt debris and moisture from being sucked into the motor.
Last now the air is brought into the head fresh cold air is now being introduced along side the hot compressed air output this keeps the head of the compressor much cooler.
The air filter has been redesigned to keep the moisture out of the compressor even better now, the Filter is also now remote mountable so in the event it toes go in a wet location it can be relocated to keep the input air nice and dry. The Fans on top now have a 100% sealed design this makes them 100% water proof, they even run under water !
Last the compressor has now been redesigned with an integrated thermal switch, this in combination with the pre wired relay will turn the compressor on and off properly to prevent the compressor from reaching temperatures where the valves or piston ring can get damaged or heat tempered.
Finally the compressor comes pre-wired with the correct size relay and relay socket for easy wiring as well as easy replacement if the relay goes bad. I forgot the Motor, Almost 2 years of research went into the new motor on the OB2 a total redesign it is smaller lighter slower rpm, but way more torque this means a hela fast compressor with very little amp draw 35amps!
The way the feet mount has been changed so you can rotate the compressor without having to take the compressor apart."
